Croc Hinge is an Australian-owned and operated business, veteran owned, based in Queensland, Australia. We design and sell foldable mounting brackets and related accessories for 4WD vehicles. Our products are sold directly through our online store and through authorised stockists across Australia and internationally.
By using this website or placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, are capable of entering into a legally binding agreement, and accept these terms and conditions in full. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or place an order.
We offer two manufacturing variants of our Croc Hinge foldable mounting brackets: Australian made (manufactured locally in Queensland) and imported (manufactured in China to the same Aussie-engineered design and specifications). There is no difference in functionality or strength between the two variants. Product descriptions, images, and specifications are provided in good faith and are as accurate as possible. Minor variations may occur.
All Croc Hinge bracket sets (pairs) have a rated load bearing capacity of 35kg per set. It is your responsibility to ensure that any load placed on the brackets does not exceed this rating and that the brackets are compatible with your specific roof rack setup. If you are unsure, please contact us before purchasing.
We reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or update products at any time without notice.
All prices are displayed in Australian dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST where applicable. Prices are subject to change without notice. The price charged will be the price displayed at the time your order is placed.
By placing an order, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order at our discretion, including in cases of pricing errors, stock availability issues, or suspected fraudulent activity.
Once your order is confirmed, you will receive an email confirmation. This confirmation does not guarantee dispatch until payment has been successfully processed and verified.
We accept payment methods as displayed at checkout. All transactions are processed securely. Croc Hinge does not store your payment card details.
All Croc Hinge products are shipped across Australia via Australia Post. Postage rates are calculated automatically at checkout based on your delivery address, so you will always see the exact cost before you pay. Every order is sent with tracking, and you will receive a tracking number once your order has been dispatched so you can monitor its progress at any time.
We also ship internationally. Postage rates for international orders are calculated at checkout.
Estimated delivery timeframes are provided as a guide only and are not guaranteed. Croc Hinge is not liable for delays caused by Australia Post, customs, or circumstances beyond our control.
Risk of loss or damage passes to you upon dispatch of your order. If your parcel is lost or damaged in transit, please contact us and we will assist in lodging an enquiry with Australia Post.
We want you to be happy with your Croc Hinge purchase. Our returns policy is in addition to, and does not exclude, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
Change of Mind: We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind purchases. Please ensure the product is suitable for your setup before purchasing. If you are unsure of compatibility, contact us before ordering.
Faulty or Damaged Goods: If your product arrives faulty or damaged, please contact us within 14 days of receipt with photos and a description of the issue. We will assess the claim and, where the fault is confirmed, offer a repair, replacement, or refund in accordance with our obligations under the ACL.
Incorrect Item: If you receive an item different from what you ordered, contact us within 7 days and we will arrange the correct item to be sent at no additional cost.
To initiate a return, contact us via our website contact form. Returned items must be unused and in their original packaging unless the return is due to a fault or error on our part.
Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit or exclude any rights you have under the ACL.
Croc Hinge products are built from quality 316 grade stainless steel and are designed for durability and longevity. Our products carry a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of purchase.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation, misuse, overloading beyond the rated capacity, normal wear and tear, or modification of the product. Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.
It is your responsibility to confirm that our products are compatible with your specific roof rack and vehicle setup before purchasing. Our FAQ page provides compatibility information for common roof rack brands, but if you are unsure, please contact us before ordering.
Installation is a do-it-yourself task that requires basic tools. Installation guides are provided with every product and are also available on our website. Croc Hinge accepts no liability for damage to your vehicle, roof rack, or accessories resulting from incorrect installation or use outside the intended design parameters.
All content on this website, including but not limited to text, images, logos, graphics, product designs, and the Croc Hinge name and logo, is the property of Croc Hinge and is protected by Australian and international intellectual property laws. The Croc Hinge product design is patent pending.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or use any of our content or intellectual property without prior written permission.
