Front Runner roof racks are characterised by a raised outer lip. This would generally interfere with the functionality of our foldable Croc Hinge brackets however we don’t want you guys to miss out. As such, we’ve developed specially designed spacers which attach to the Croc Hinge brackets, lifting them level with the lip should you want to use this method.
For one set/pair of awning brackets you’ll need four spacers. If you’re purchasing a set of three awning brackets you’ll need six spacers (i.e. 2 per individual bracket).

CROC HINGE® foldable brackets are designed to suit most popular flat roof racks:
RHINO RACK FLAT STYLES (PIONEER SERIES)
ARB BASE RACK – requires t-slot adaptors which can be purchased directly from ARB
ROLA TITAN – requires own hardware i.e. channels nuts given our products come standard with M8 channel nuts.
YAKIMA FLAT ROOF RACKS – due to the side-to-side cross members on this style of roof rack the spacing permits the mounting of MaxTrax however TREDS requires a Bridge Plate (sold separately).
FRONT RUNNER ROOF RACKS – due to the raised outer lip that’s characteristic of this style of roof rack CROC HINGE® mounting brackets are only suitable in combination with spacers (sold separately).
DIRECT TO A CANOPY
MESH STYLE ROOF RACKS – the CROC HINGE® Bracket will fit a flat roof rack with ‘mesh’ style flooring however you will require a bridging plate.

Hi a big shout out to Croc Hinge for a fantastic product that has solved my problem with getting my awning up higher by using the black spacers, it allowed the height I needed to get the clearance above the bat wing doors when it is opened on the canopy without hitting the support rails of the awning, and folding the awning back down onto the roof top so it doesn’t sit to high for travelling.
The service provided by the owner/inventor of this product was outstanding above and beyond when all the other experts in the industry that I asked for help said it wasn’t possible, well they were wrong. Would recommend this product to anyone.
