CROC HINGE® RECOVERY BRACKET – EXTENDED PRODUCT LEG
Fitting a foldable CROC HINGE® 4×4 recovery bracket to your roof rack lets you easily move your recovery boards/tracks between two positions:
In the deployed position, users can easily access recovery tracks mounted on the foldable CROC HINGE® bracket without climbing onto the vehicle or using a step or ladder. This setup makes access faster and more convenient than when equipment is stored flat on the roof rack. When deployed, the CROC HINGE® recovery brackets also free up valuable roof rack space for other 4WD accessories or camping equipment.
When the accessory bracket is in the deployed position it (and the attached accessories) extend upwards from the roof rack and adds to the overall height. This increase in height impacts on the ability of the vehicle to pass under overhangs and/or gain access to height restricted car parks. However, the CROC HINGE® 4×4 recovery bracket allows for the accessory to be stowed flat and thus impacts less on vehicle height than other accessory mounts.

CROC HINGE® foldable brackets are designed to suit most popular flat roof racks:
RHINO RACK FLAT STYLES (PIONEER SERIES)
ARB BASE RACK – requires t-slot adaptors which can be purchased directly from ARB
ROLA TITAN – requires own hardware i.e. channels nuts given our products come standard with M8 channel nuts.
YAKIMA FLAT ROOF RACKS – due to the side-to-side cross members on this style of roof rack the spacing permits the mounting of MaxTrax however TREDS requires a Bridge Plate (sold separately).
FRONT RUNNER ROOF RACKS – due to the raised outer lip that’s characteristic of this style of roof rack CROC HINGE® mounting brackets are only suitable in combination with spacers (sold separately).
DIRECT TO A CANOPY
MESH STYLE ROOF RACKS – the CROC HINGE® Bracket will fit a flat roof rack with ‘mesh’ style flooring however you will require a bridging plate.

I live in a unit on the Gold coast, max height is 2100mm to enter. I have struggled with my MaxTraxs constantly on my Rhino Platform, this solution is a amazing, the brackets are awesome, I can just fold my MaxTraxs flat when going into the car park. Such a fantastic product.
Having a big Nissan Patrol Y62 the 270 awning then makes it even wider which is a pain on tight tracks, but with the Croc Hinge it just lies on top of the roof. Then when you want to use it it’s simple to flick to upright again.
We also have the Croc Hinge recovery board brackets. The brackets are great however our platform is not one I’d recommend. A little adapter was required to make it work. Willow came out to see me & assisted with making a temporary one but then went away & designed a piece to go with the Croc Hinge so no one else with my type of platform would have the problem. He then also came out to fit these onto my set up. Great customer service!
